Twilight Series – An Introduction

The Twilight series of books is written by author Stephenie Meyer. The twilight book series comprises of  Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The twilight series is by far the most successful publishing revolution after Harry Potter.  The twilight series books have sold millions of copies worldwide. Besides, this series made Stephenie Meyer a household name and catapulted her to fame. Her twilight series books have garnered a huge dedicated following across continents. The fourth book in the series, Breaking Dawn, broke sales records all over the world.

The Twilight series can be categorized as a vampire fantasy/romance genre in books.  The twilight series revolves around the life of Isabella Swan (Bella). Bella is a teenager who moves to Forks, Washington. After moving to Forks, Bella finds that her life takes a major twist when she falls in love with Edward Cullen who is a vampire. Currently, the twilight series  looks at life from Bella’s perspective but there are plans in the near future to describe events from Edward Cullen’s perspective.

Stephenie Meyer’s twilight series has been on the New York Times Best Seller list for a long time. After the huge success of the twilight series books, this series was later released as movies, to the huge delight of twilight fans. The twilight movies became instant hits with it’s fans and made Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart into idols with a massive fan following.

The twilight series continues to amaze and enthrall audiences around the world. It is most popular with the younger generation but also has it’s own share of mature audiences and fans.
